Bi-Directional Control/Active Tests
The THINKSCAN 689 bidirectional scan tool can output commands to a vehicle’s ECUs, read the ECU data, and monitor the operation of the actuators. Through active tests on certain components, such as fuel pumps, a/c fan, inside mirrors, headlamps, windows, and horns, this bidirectional scanner will let you quickly know whether a specific system, component, or subsystem is functioning properly or not, helping you locate the car issues precisely.
1. Oil Reset: reset the oil life system and turn off the oil light after oil or oil filter replacements.
2. EPB: reset the brake pad after replacing the brake pad, the servo motor, etc., deactivate/activate the brake control system, assist with brake fluid control, open and close brake pads, etc.
3. TPMS: reset the tire pressure and turn off the tire pressure fault indicator.
4. BMS: reset the monitoring unit of the car battery after replacing the battery or battery monitoring sensors.
5. DPF Regeneration: clear particulate matter from the DPF filter through continuous combustion oxidation mode to stabilize the filter performance.
